Transport Customer Service Assistant – Full-time

If Customer Service Representative You are the link between our customers and our operations. You’ll be the designated point of contact for our national and international clients, processing transport orders and liaising frequently with the planning team and other colleagues throughout the day. If something doesn’t go to plan, you won’t just sit back and wait – you’ll work with your colleagues to find a viable solution.

TVB Transport
Welcome to TVB! We specialise in temperature-controlled transport and carry goods at temperatures ranging from -20 to +20 degrees. Our main focus is on the domestic transport of fruit and vegetables. In addition, we are continuing to expand our range of services to include, amongst other things, groupage, container transport and courier services.

We are a down-to-earth transport company with short lines of communication and a team that is used to adapting quickly. At the same time, we are constantly evolving. We want to continue to grow, become more professional and innovate. In doing so, we believe in trying new things, improving and taking responsibility. Either we do it well or we don’t.

What are you going to do?

You ensure that our customers know where they stand and that the right information reaches our operations at the right time. You oversee transport orders from request to completion and keep track of what’s going on throughout the day.

Your duties will include, amongst other things:

• Receiving, processing and checking transport orders in Talis;
• Maintaining daily contact with customers;
• Keeping customers informed about the status of shipments and any changes;
• Co-ordinating with transport planning regarding current and new orders;
• Identifying any issues, delays or changes and taking proactive action in response;
• Answering queries and resolving operational customer issues;
• Checking and processing data in our systems;
• Working alongside colleagues in planning, the warehouse and administration;
• Contributing ideas on how we can further improve our services and internal processes.

Who are we looking for?

For this full-time role, we are primarily looking for someone who can adapt easily and take responsibility. The transport sector – and certainly the fresh produce sector – is not always predictable. You therefore need to enjoy readjusting your priorities throughout the day, without losing sight of the bigger picture.

In addition:

• Do you have an MBO level of working and thinking;
• Do you preferably have experience in transport, logistics or the fruit and vegetable sector?;
• Do you communicate easily and clearly with different types of customers and colleagues;
• Do you work accurately and keep a clear overview, even when things get busy;
• Are you solution-oriented and do you have the confidence to take the initiative;
• Do you have a good command of Dutch (a good command of English is an advantage);
• Are you good with computers and do you pick up new systems quickly?.

Experience in the transport sector or the fruit and vegetable trade is a bonus, but for us it is just as important that you have the right attitude and that our dynamic working environment suits you.
